Beer Board!!!

So it's been a crazy couple of days but I'm only gonna talk about tonight because I'm lazy...

Tonight I went to watch You're A Good Man Charlie Brown.  Dave is playing in the pit band so we got a free ticket.  It's a good show.  I enjoyed it, the performances were well done.  Some nitpicky things but again, I'm lazy.

Afterwards we went out with some of the pit band to the local Irish pub.  Dave and I had a coupon for buy 1, get 1 free appies so we decided to use that.  We had the Thai Chicken tenders (spicy but oh soo good) and the Dry ribs (good but wouldn't order them again).  Then we noticed they had a beer board.  4 - 4oz glasses of Irish beers.  You can't go wrong.  See, I'm not a big beer drinker but give me Guiness and I'm a happy girl.  So for $7 we got 16oz of beer.  We tried Harps, Smithwicks, Hilkenny(?) and Guinness.  So good.  We really enjoyed it.

Got to know one of our choir members a bit better.  She's the pit band director.  Good times.

Loneliness

So, a few days ago I read threw a relatives blog. They had graciously sent me a link.  It was quite enjoyable.

One day she wrote about how her hubby was going out and she was getting some alone time.  But in the end it turned out she really missed him and was really glad when he came back.  I am having that right now. My Dave has gone to a musical practice and I am home alone with the cats.  I feel so alone.  I have been doing stuff to try and keep myself busy but its not working.  I'll be so glad when he gets home.

Today was my specialist appointment in Dawson Creek. It was nice to finally find out that what we thought was a possibility is true.  It would have been really nice if the nitwit I saw in PA had figured it out but oh well.  Its known now and we're working on it.

This evening, an ad popped up on  Facebook.  It was for a 3 bedroom home, well ... a trailer.  It was gorgeous.  Only 74,900.  With 5% down you could pay around $810/month on OAC.  Damn I wish we could save money in this place.  Even for a temporary time.  We could get it paid off and be saving money.  I just wish we could get to a point where we could be saving money.  I hate living where the rent is so high.

Enh, I have to go back to work tomorrow. Its been a great 3 days off.  Gonna work 4 days and then have another 2 off.  Shall be nice.

Gonna be keeping our eyes open for this.  We want to do one of the songs next Christmas for the choir.

Anyways, now that my hubby is home, gonna spend some time with him.

Boxing Day

Today was so much fun. We slept in til about 9 and then turned on James Bond: Tomorrow Never Dies.  We kept saying we should get up.  By the time we got serious about getting up here was only about half an hour left so we just finished the movie.  It was about 2 pm by the time we were ready to go out.  We headed up town to deposit my work cheque and to hit Pricesmart because its right across the street. While at the bank we decided we'd go to the local coffee shop and have a drink.  I had a turtle latte with soy milk and Dave had a regular Black Forest latte.  They were both delightful.  After we were done harassing the girls there (we knew both of them) we headed across the street to Pricesmart where we saw more people we knew. Dave picked up some stuff to make his meat, cheese and cracker plate for tonight and then we headed on.

I hadn't found the buns I was looking for so we headed to Safeway.  There they had a Buy 10, get 100 airmiles special on, so we spent $30 and got 100 bonus airmiles. A good deal in our books.  Grabbed the buns and continued on our way.

Despite our reservations we went to Walmart.  Didn't really want to go but Dave did.  I remembered while we were there that I needed a zipper to complete a gift so we grabbed one.  I also found hangers at 10/$2 so bought some more of those.  We got one tin of Werthers, mainly for the tin and headed out.  The lineups were pretty good, considering we have had worse times in there in mid-May.

Came home and I quickly started working at finishing a gift for our friend.  I made her Sack Boy for Christmas.  We like to go over there and play Little Big Planet 2 and I thought this would be a fun gift for her.

After I was finished we grabbed our stuff and headed over.  Another friend of ours was there with her mom.  Our other friends that were supposed to come couldn't because their baby was being evil today.  Their words, not mine!  We like visiting their because they have a lab and she is so much fun.

We had dinner, a lovely turkey soup which our hostess had made and followed that up with homemade Chocolate cheesecake while was amazing.  After we had eaten we played Creationary.  So much fun.

After we played Creationary, we moved on to a Disney version of Little Big Planet.  Fun but a little confusing.  After we had played for a while our friend and her mom left.  We tenatively made plans to get together and make tshirts.  Should be fun.

After they left Dave and our friend tried out a game on the PS3 where you put yourself into the scene.  Not really her thing.  So we played with her dog for a bit.  At one point, I had gotten down on the floor to wrestle with Bailey and she was getting a little rough so I took of my glasses and tossed them on the couch so they'd be safe.  We Bailey thought that was great fun, grabbed them and took off.  Oh my word!  I laughed so hard as our friend chased her around and around trying to get them back.

Tired...  Glad I still have tomorrow off.  We're heading out to DC because I have an appointment.  Not, and I mean really not, looking forward to it.  Scared.

Anyways, G'night!

Wow...

I think that about covers it. Wow... April 5, 2010 was the last time I wrote in this. So much for that resolution. I'm really not very good at keeping them. I think I shall start making resolutions like my DH. Start smoking, start doing drugs and gain 500 lbs. Than I won't feel bad if I break them. hehe

Life has been a whirlwind this December, as usual. I offered and played for the high school musical, Back to the 80s. It was fun but very tiring. It is my intention to take a year off next year.

We also had our choir concert. It went extremely well as did the silent auction we ran at the same time.

Today is Christmas Day. It was just my hubby and myself. Made a lot of phone calls though. We had a lot of fun opening our stockings in the morning in bed and then coming downstairs to open our gifts.

Received some fun things. Got a 3DS in pretty pretty red. Also got tea and a travel tea mug. Got some shirts and a fun new game called Creationary. Its a Lego Pictionary game. Also got a bunch of penguin stuff which is fun cause I love penguins. We had also received a bunch of camping supplies this summer in preparation for us going camping.

Everyone seemed to like what we gave them. Haven't heard from some people but are pretty sure they will have enjoyed their gifts.

Well thats it for now.

G'night
